The career of an accountant is very different to that of a pro surfer. One consists of crunching numbers in an office, the other travelling the world to compete in the most idyllic locations.
21-year-old Gold Coast local Noah Lane is currently studying accounting but at the same time surfing his butt off for the best result in the WQS. Imagine how hard it is studyng accounting - and imagine how hard it is trying to get on the circuit - and Noah is doing it both!
After a promising junior career, Noah was left to think about his future.
"Finishing the juniors is kind of like finishing school, you're kind of left feeling like ‘where to next'.
I've been working and toughing it out as a full time student. There are a lot of talented guys out there who just can't afford to travel and compete. It's very expensive to do the WQS, you really need a major sponsor to back you."
The Perfect Wave helps Noah out with discounted flights and marketing incentives - but he is talented enough to warrant a major sponsor - just waiting for the offer!

Update number 2 from our sponsored surfer Bijou Busse from Hawaii!
Sunday 28th of Nov saw small surf here on the north shore.. But when your in such an incredible place, surrounded by your best mates, you know that your in for some fun. Regardless of the conditions!
My friends Rosy Hodge, Nikita Robb (womens WCT surfers), Sacha Specker (Professional photog/video-og from ZAF) & I spent the day out and about.
In the morning, visiting the local Haleiwa markets to pick up some fresh produce! Then in the afternoon we hit Off The Wall, getting creative. We rode fun boards, boogie boards, body surfed & swam with turtles!!!
Then Wrapped it up with a beautiful sunset & glass of wine!
The swell looks like its on the rise over the next couple of days, so stay tuned for whats next!!

Update for our sponsored surfer Bijou Busse from Hawaii!
Just a Quick up date.. Life on the rock is amazing! Am surrounded by great friends and epic waves! The swell has been consistent and pumping! The surfing highlight so far was three days ago; a solid Hawaiian 8ft+ swell arrived. The whole strip was firing. I spent the entire day out at Pipeline. Waves surging through from the second reef, it was LARGE to say the least. I caught some memorable waves, even copped a 3 wave second reef set on the head! That single experience has had a really positive impact.
Also must pass on that all my besties (Guys and girls from the tour) have been asking about The Perfect Wave.
Anyway its time for breaky & to get out for a surf!
Hope all is well, be in touch soon!!
Cheers
Bijou

The Perfect Wave Customer Service Guarantee
The Perfect Wave Travel Co has fast become a leader in the surf travel industry. Their ever increasing database of repeat and referral clients is testament to this fact.
From the very beginning of the holiday planning process, when the client first contacts The Perfect Wave, the client is paramount. The staff at The Perfect Wave really care about their clients and want every single one to have the perfect surf holiday. There is no having to wait days for a response to their enquiry, clients are contacted within the next business day of their enquiry being sent.
There is no generic automated response, The Perfect Wave will call you first to have a quick chat about what you really want out of your surf trip - to make sure you end up at the right destination, and at the right accommodation, with the right waves that you’re looking for, so you get the perfect surf trip.
This personal contact makes all the difference, as quite often people can enquire about the wrong places – places that don’t actually suit what they are looking for in their perfect surf holiday. It is through the expert knowledge of The Perfect Wave’s staff that they can best guage what the client is looking for, and match the clients’ preferences and trip prerequisites to one of their trips. Most times the waves are priority, but sometimes it is most important to have comfort; or a pool for the wife; or Kids Club for the children; or sometimes priority might just be value for money or getting a great deal.
Clients depart on their trips with the confidence that their trip has been planned and booked by a professional; and return from their surf trip ready to start planning and saving for the next one!
Your money is safe with The Perfect Wave. They are a fully licensed and accredited travel agency and a member of the Travel Compensation Fund. There is no fear you will turn up to your chosen accommodation, only to find it doesn’t even exist or they have no booking for you – as you booked on a bogus website! Scary how regularly this happens with internet shoppers. You can also feel assured you are booked to fly into the right city at the right time with enough connection time between flights, which is a major mistake many people make when booking their own flights. If anything goes awry while you are away…missed, delayed or cancelled flights; or unforeseen circumstances or emergencies, The staff at The Perfect Wave are here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Wylie Moyes - Sponsored by The Perfect Wave
Free surfer by trade, Wylie feels most competitive when faced with a camera rather than a surf competition and always wants to be the guy getting the best shots. Often disappearing for stretches at a time, his favourite past time is chasing waves in exotic places, always ensuring the moment is captured on film. No stranger to travel, Wylie measures time by when and where his last trip was and the next one will be.
